This is an easy route around the More Hall Reservoir that begins from the small car park near Ewden Village. You will set off and follow the northern side of the reservoir on the road. The walk along the south side of the reservoir will follow a path through woods. It is a quiet and pretty route that is suitable to ramblers of all fitness levels.

Walk Description From wherever you have parked, head towards the junction of roads at the south end of Ewden village. With the fence and the Yorkshire Water signs in front of you, turn left and keep to the road on the right of the junction.

More Hall Reservoir (S36 3ST) is situated in the picturesque Ewden Valley eight miles north of Sheffield on the A6102 Manchester Road. Approaching through Wharncliffe Side from the direction of Sheffield, access is on the left-hand side of the road turning through the two stone pillars.

More Hall reservoir is located to the west of the Don Valley near Stocksbridge on the outskirts of Sheffield. It is a short walk (2.2 miles) and it took me about an hour. On one side of the reservoir you go through the woodland, the other side of the reservoir you walk on the quiet road.
