The first season was directed by Shigehito Takayanagi who is also supervising the scripts alongside with Yasuko Kamo. Aside from Kamo, scriptwriters also include Tatsuhiko Urahata, and Michiko Yokote.

So all of the people that dumped Asterisk War in the first two episodes and gave it a low score had their opinions completely disregarded. The same thing will happen to Dagashi Kashi. MAL's scoring system has 5 as Average, 6 as Fine and 7 as Good. A score of 7.24 is not low.
