#1 I know that Ogenki desu ka would be used to ask how a person is doing, but I read in a textbook that asking this question would result in a detailed description of the person's health. Thus one would ask ii o-tenki desu ne? instead just as a casual greeting much as in the english when someone says how are you? Is this true in colloqual language?
