Review of Glyka Nera Beach. Reviewed March 6, 2016. When staying at Sweetwater beach it is great to have this taverna with good food & drink in the shade. Always filled up, but a seat is provided when required. Fish swimming underneath gives good entertainment. Nice staff!

Glyka Nera (sweet water) is a gem! Not reachable by car, it's either a short ferry ride from Hora Sfakion or a rather scary hike along a coast path which runs along the cliffs. I loved arriving and leaving by boat, and the small, rather ramshackle beach cafe where the boat docks is a friendly place. The water here is translucent and feels great.
